This is one of the most popular of the dark woods. Color varies from orange to deep red with irregular patterns of purple or black. Grain is usually straight and fine textured, but on occasion I do come across some very figured pieces. I normally have this in stock big enough for pens and key chains. |

A very popular wood. This is one of the rarest of the woods I use. A very prized wood, its color runs from a medium to light pink. A very dense hard wood, light to medium brown with some black striping. I normally have this in stock big enough for pens and key chains. |

A deep red to purple color. The color is dull-brown when freshly cut, but changes rapidly to the vivid and well known purple color if exposed to sunlight for a few days. I normally have this in stock big enough for pens and key chains. |

The grain is similar to walnut, and Butternut has been used in the past for many small projects such as gun stocks and carved pieces in furniture. Plain grained but very nice color when finished. I normally have this in stock big enough for pens and key chains |

Cherry is a medium density hardwood which starts out very light and gradually mellows to a rich warm reddish golden brown. Cherry is one of the more common of the domestic hardwoods. Walnut is one of the nicest of the dark domestic hardwoods. Also known as Black Walnut. Nice grain and color, makes a very nice pen. I normally have this in stock big enough for pens and key chains. |
